Offshore Financial Transactions in the Cayman Islands - Research Guide: Commercial Databases

Practice Centers

Bloomberg Law, CCH Intelliconnect, Lexis Advance, and Westlaw all offer transactional pages or "product suite" interfaces that are convenient starting places for the researcher looking for financial legal information. These pages collect relevant primary and secondary sources, along with forms and checklists.

While these databases do include some overlap in coverage, many resources - particularly secondary sources - are proprietary. This means you will only find resources owned by a Lexis publisher on Lexis.

Click the "Wexisburg" tab for a comparison of database content advice on choosing which database to works best for you.

*Search suggestion* - these databases predominantly contain United States legal materials. However, the entanglement of foreign and international law is inherent in global business transactions. The inclusion of "Cayman Islands" in your search query will return results relevant to the United State's legal relationship with the Cayman Islands.
